Other exciting events for March include, a co-presentation with UVA’s Cinematheque of the latest directorial offering from Jeff Wadlow, local filmmaker and board member of the Virginia Film Festival. Following on from his hit Cry_Wolf, we are delighted to present a free sneak preview of his new fight-flick, Never Back Down, on March 12th in Newcomb Hall Theater.

Shortly after moving to a new town with his family, Jake Tyler (Faris) finds himself bullied into fighting in a Backyard Fight, where he suffers a humiliating beating. After receiving threats to the safety of his friends and family, Jake seeks the mentoring of a veteran fighter (played by two-time Academy Award nominee Djimon Hounsou), to train his mind and body for one final no-holds-barred elimination fight with his unrelenting personal nemesis and local martial arts champion Ryan McCarthy (Gigandet).
