Director Rodrigo García, son of Latin American writer Gabriel García Márquez and the director of Nine Lives (which García presented at the 2007 Virginia Film Festival), returns to the big screen with this exploration of romance and intrigue under the shadow of death.

After a plane crash, a young therapist, Claire (Anne Hathaway), is assigned by her mentor (Andre Braugher) to counsel the flight’s five survivors, whose personalities have all undergone drastic changes. As they share their recollections of the incident—which include an explosion that the airline insists didn’t happen—Claire is intrigued by Eric (Patrick Wilson), the most secretive of the passengers. Despite her better judgment, Claire’s professional relationship with Eric grows into a deeper connection, just as the survivors begin to disappear mysteriously. Claire suspects that Eric may hold all the answers and becomes determined to uncover the truth, no matter the consequences.
